Hey, it's Angie!

A fortuneteller once told my mom that I would become a designer one day, but I only took it as a joke as a Psychology major undergrad. Never had I thought that would mean 'a product designer'.

I've always been intrigued by the workings of the human mind — how a subtle change could have a significant impact on one's being. This fascination with viewing people and their stories through both a scientific and empathetic lens led me to pursue a degree in Psychology.

After graduating, I started my career in digital marketing, where I learned to draw actionable insights from extensive user behavioral data. Although I enjoyed the analytical aspects of digital marketing, I longed for the creativity and bringing values to people’s lives. My desire to merge these passions led me to UX design.

With great interest in human-centered design, I enrolled in the Information Studies with a specialization in Human-Computer Interaction at the University of Texas at Austin. Since then, my love for design has undeniably flourished.

Looking back now, maybe my mom just told the fortuneteller how happy I was when I was doodling on paper and crafting the yearbook in high school — a joy that mirrors my love for design today.

Fueled by curiosity, empathy, and coffee.

As a product designer, I am happiest when I bring values to people — I do that through research, iterative design, and close collaboration with cross-functional teams. I approach everything with a growth mindset, always looking for the next opportunity to learn and polish my skill in product design.
